Brammo Releases Their 2013 Race Schedule

I saw this first on their webpage, but they put this year’s racing schedule (“subject to confirmation”) in their newsletter as well.  Note that it includes the two AFM races they will be attending and the FIM WSBK round at Laguna Seca that I reported a month ago.

Yeah, this is a hit-n-run post.

Brammo Race Day Schedule (subject to confirmation).

  • Race 1: May 5, Infineon Sonoma Raceway, Sonoma, CA with AFM
  • Race 2: June 2, Thunderhill Raceway, Willows, CA with AFM
  • Race 3: July 21, Laguna Seca Raceway, Monterey, CA with FIM
  • Race 4: Aug 18, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis, IN with FIM

  1. Races 1-2 are the AFM classes Brammo just got certified for. Hope we’ll see both the RR and the TTX competing .. and maybe, maybe some privateer efforts?

Races 3-5 are the TTXGP eRoadRacing North American series. Fewer races, but perhaps better races?

Race 6 is the Superbike World Championship, with AMA Pro supporting. I assume the Empulse RR will be racing gas bikes with AFM earlier in the year, but is AMA Pro a larger & more challenging event?

    1. No, Race 6 is the fourth round of eRR that is racing with World Superbikes, and the AMA is a supporting class that I reported was still to be confirmed back in March. Both the FIM and TTXGP have left hints that there are more rounds to be confirmed in their press releases, and this is one of those. The AMA is the governing body in the US, given it’s status by the FIM. So that is the National Championship, and the races are 50 miles long. So no RR yet.

Oh, and yes. We should be seeing both the TTX and RR in the two AFM races.
