Why a transmission for an elmoto? Here’s why. And, the Swiss had an e-moto championship?

This is from the end of 2010.  Watch the SMRE rider (yes the guys who Brammo [edit] get their 6-speed transmissions from) come from the back of the grid to take the race.  Why a 6-speed transmission?  Because it’s faster, that’s why.  Well, if you listen to my interview with Brian Wissman of Brammo you know it’s better for low power, low voltage situations.  High voltage, like the route BRD or any of the TTXGP/FIM superbikes has gone, not so much.  Still, over a field apparently of mostly Quantyas (Swiss company), a Zero, an SMRE, and one or two others, clearly the SMRE had a clear advantage.

Here’s a great video from that day brought to us, I assume by the race organizers.  Enjoy!
